History of Aegis
The name AEGIS comes from Greek Mythology. It means “impregnable defence – protection” A pretty good name for a security company we think.
Legend has it that in ancient Greek, the God of Gods Zeus called either his shield, breastplate or cloak his “Aegis”. When wearing or carrying this item Zeus was said to be indestructible.

In the last few years the U.S. Navy has developed the “Aegis system” - a superior combat command system used in all their latest cruisers and destroyers to defend there ships from hostile action. In fact the Aegis system is so good it will form the basis of the new Air Warfare Destroyers for the Royal Australian Navy.
