What is the Aegis Security Friendly Neighbour Service?

Keeping that extra eye on your property whilst your away, just like a good neighbour would.  Clearing the letter box of advertising material, making sure the accessible areas of the property are secure.  The Aegis Security peace of mind service.

How does it work?

The Friendly Neighbour Service is part of the total security package that Aegis Security offers all our customers.

An alarm system is a great source of comfort for when your not home.  The Friendly Neighbour Service builds on this by further reducing the occurance of theft or break in at your home when your away for a period of time. 

First: We remove local newspapers, advertising materials that build up in your letterbox and are the first sign that someone is not home. 

Second we check around all accessible areas of your home making sure the doors and windows are still secure.   Remembering that it is not just actions of thieves that can cause damage to your property. We check around for signs of storm and or water damage.

Third, we can, if you so desire, collect and store your mail until you return home.

Fourth, we can, if you leave your bins in an accessible place, put your garbage bins out for collection and return the next night.  Again, no bins out in front of a home indicate to potential burglars that the owners are not home.

Frequency of calls

You pay for the number of calls at your home.  The frequency is up to you.  Our maximum is ONE call per day. 

There is no minium but if you require the bins out and bins in then at least 2 calls are required per week.

We recommend at least 3 calls per week to clear letterboxes etc.

How much does this service cost?

The cost per call is $5.00 including g.s.t.* 

* This fee is paid up front.

** If you want your mail collected and returned this is also 1 call for $5.00.

What areas does this service cover?

This service is restricted to the Melbourne CBD through to the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
